Very disappointing experience. I understand that a golf course has rules and policies, but I was really surprised when I called to book a tee time, told them my 4 year old son would be coming with me just to ride along and spend time with me on the course (I’m trying to get him started young) and they said the course doesn’t allow “ride-alongs” on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. My son genuinely wants to experience golf and spend time on the course with his dad. I wasn’t asking him to play or slow anyone down, just to ride in the cart, watch, and enjoy the game. Weekend days are when most working parents have the opportunity to introduce their kids to golf. If we’re serious about growing the game and encouraging the next generation of golfers, I don’t think a blanket weekend ride-along policy is the way to do it. I respect their right to have policies and I have enjoyed playing at this course at the past. But they’ve lost a customer if I can’t bring my son out with me.

Played this course yesterday, and it is in the best condition I’ve ever seen. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all looking beautiful. Highly recommend this course!

Play Here! [Despite the atrocious cart paths] More interesting layout than Birkdale & less hilly than Highlands; Both of which I play & Luv. Providence's designer pedigrees [Lester George' Kinloch & Rees Jones' Vinterra] shine through on the hole routings, bunkering strategy & subtle green breaks. Far easier to play than Magnolia Green and Lake Chesdin, but still 6500 yds from the tips. Best cheeseburger of any course! VERY NICE FOLKS! Decent Driving Range, Putting & Chipping Green. Greens are currently punched and sanded. B+, Go Play!

Played here Sunday morning and the course was beautiful! Staff are super friendly and they have coolers full of water bottles on the course for you. Greens were in immaculate shape and a lot of crazy pin placements which made it interesting! It’ll cost you $81 but I think it was worth the money!

Providence has updated their carts and the fairways and greens have been in great condition. Definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t recently. Will be coming back for sure.
